Helping Others Understand
Ok, I’ve mostly forgiven Tumblr - in many ways I think it’s good that the post got deleted, really it wasn’t what I said but the thoughts that went into it that are important! The real value of having the blog has turned out to be not what I post, but what I don’t post. 99% of what I think I want to post here I end up not posting! Just having the space to potentially share with an audience is often the space my brain needs to work through stuff!!!
Anyway, the basic gist of the lost post was exploring ways to help others understand the variety of sexual identities in the world. Helping others obtain the background knowledge to one day accept that I’m asexual and the fact that I’m not interested in marriage or dating or sex in any form and that’s ok. I’m happy this way and I don’t want to change.
I haven’t come up with any concrete ideas, other than posting stuff that might help my friends broaden their views on sexual identity and relationships to my Facebook, but it’s a start!
